Compared to last week, steers under 700 lbs sold mostly 4.00-8.00 higher with the most advance on the 550-675 lb weight range and heavier weights traded 3.00-5.00 higher. Heifers sold steady to 6.00 higher, except for the 550-600 lb weight range up to 10.00 higher. Demand was very good for a heavy supply. The large numbers and high quality offered brought in a full house of buyers that were aggressive in their bidding and trade was very active. No real market factors lent support to the market other than grass buyers are eager to procure cattle and the quality was excellent with most long time weaned and in attractive condition. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 lower, bulls mostly 5.00 lower.
