Compared to last week, feeder sold slightly uneven as steer calves under 600 lbs sold steady to 5.00 higher and heavier weights sold steady to 4.00 lower. Heifers sold steady to 3.00 higher. Several reputation consignments of calves were offered and highly sought after. Demand was moderate to very good with the fleshier heifer calves seeing the lightest demand and 500-625 lb steer calves selling with the best demand. Supply was moderate to heavy, the quality was good, and most of the cattle were carrying some flesh with yearlings and lighter fleshed feeders the minority. Not much news as of late to sway the market, fed cattle lost a couple bucks this week. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher.
