Compared to last week, steer and heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher. A heavy supply was brought to town following last weeks holiday break and the weather has been favorable to move cattle. Loads of yearlings and string of calves both were on hand and saw equally good demand. Several additional buyers were in the seats and demand for grazing cattle is starting to increase. Cattle futures have gained back quite a bit of ground since the last sale two weeks ago which has helped revive some optimism. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady.
