Compared to two weeks ago, feeders sold unevenly steady as steer calves under 600 lbs traded steady to 5.00 higher and some under 500 lbs sharply higher, but heavier weights sold 3.00-7.00 lower. Heifers sold steady to 5.00 lower. A heavy supply of calves was offered following the Thanksgiving break with the majority weaned and shots, but most were carrying some flesh. Few thin cattle were offered as the yearlings are pretty well gone. Demand was mostly moderate, good for 450-550 lb steers as grass buyers have entered the market. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher.
