Compared to the last sale three weeks ago, steers and heifers of all weights sold sharply higher. Slaughter cows 1.00 to 3.00 lower. The local cash feeder trade had some catching up to do after no activity the last three weeks but had no trouble doing so with most classes trading 15.00 to 25.00 higher and hitting some bewildering prices along the way. Lots of buying power was in the seats, all eager to own cattle as numbers continue to grow tighter as grass time nears. Supply moderate, demand very good.
