Compared to the last sale three weeks ago, steers mostly steady to 5.00 higher and heifers in a more uneven manner, several dollars either side of steady. Slaughter cows sharply higher, catching up with a steady upswing and trading 12.00 to 17.00 higher. Buyers and sellers were all more than ready to get back to business after some weather related disruptions the past couple weeks. Only a handful of light calves on offer with most of the cattle weighing over 600 lbs. The real highlight of the day was three consignments of replacement heifers from local reputation herds, most sold by the head, that brought some pretty impressive figures. Supply moderate, demand good.
