Looking back four weeks to the last tested market, steers sold mostly weak to 5.00 lower with a few weights of steers and all heifers trading sharply lower. Slaughter cows unevenly steady. A wide range of kind and quality on offer for this first sale of 2023, including a handful of load lots but a large number of very small packages and single head lots. Overall quality ran below average for most of the day. Supply and demand moderate.
