Compared to the Thanksgiving Special two weeks ago, steers under 550 lbs traded sharply higher, mostly 12.00 to 15.00 higher, with heavier weights mostly 3.00 to 9.00 higher. Slim comparisons and very uneven trade on the heifer side but some similar sales ranged from 3.00 lower to 2.00 higher. Really good quality on hand this week in a wide variety of condition. The bulk of the offering consisted of steer cattle in a pretty good range of weights including several straight loads from local reputation producers. Supply heavy, demand good.
