Compared to two weeks ago, steers and heifers sold 6.00 to 10.00 lower. Slaughter cows 1.00 to 2.00 lower on a very light supply. A strong day for cattle futures wasn't enough to shake off the losses the industry has suffered the past couple weeks; demand was moderate, just at lower price levels as buyers had to bring their purchases in line with the current market outlook. Supply light.
