As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steers and heifers sold mostly 2.00 to 7.00 higher with some yearlings 9.00 higher. Slaughter cows 1.00 to 3.00 lower. Good demand for yearling cattle as well as high quality weaned calves with a health history, but moderate demand at best for any unweaned calves. The yearling market has certainly gotten a boost from the recent recovery in the fat cattle market; the weighted average price for 850-900 lb steers this week was a full $7/cwt higher than two weeks ago. Supply moderate.
