There was a moderate to light test at the January Special Cow Sale at Tina Livestock Auction this month. Due to sub zero temps and some ice and snow then warmer temps a few days before the sale, some producers were not able to load cows for this auction. Overall for the crowd that was in attendance and the offering of replacement bred cows and bred heifers, buyers did show strong demand to buy back spring calving cows and bred heifers to take back home. Some producers are still facing hay shortages, forcing them to bring replacement cows to market.
