Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were not well tested, however undertones were steady to firm. Steer calves were uneven from 4.00 lower to 4.00 higher. Heifer calves were steady to 4.00 higher. Demand was moderate on a light supply. The offering included several drafts of replacement quality heifers with one stick-out draft of 41 head of 749 lb. black-hided heifers selling for 308.41/cwt. Buyers outnumbered sellers ringside as many producers dropped off their cattle and returned home to move livestock and equipment from low-lying areas, ahead of the heavy rains and flooding predicted for the rest of the week.
