Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold 4.00-8.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves under 750 lbs. sold 3.00-6.00 higher with spots 12.00 higher. Demand was very good on a heavy supply. The USDA Cattle on Feed report, released Friday, had Inventories and Marketings down 1 percent and Placements much lower than expected at 96.7 percent. Both Feeder and Live Cattle futures traded higher on Tuesday as cash prices continue to set new record highs.
