Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold steady to 5.00 lower. Calves sold 3.00-8.00 lower with spots 14.00 lower. Demand was good and decreased throughout the day as the cattle futures traded sharply lower. The supply was moderate with a few pot-load drafts in the offering, The largest draft of the day was 120 head of 980 lb. mixed steers which brought 220.00/cwt. Pasture conditions have improved from last week's rains allowing producers to hold on to calves a little longer in hopes of a higher market.
