Colder temperatures along with wet conditions, continue to keep price spreads wide between bawling calves and those long time weaned. The USDA's Cattle on Feed Report, released last week, compared to a year ago, showed Inventories 1 percent lower, Placements 2 percent higher and Marketings 1 percent higher.
