Compared to last week, feeder steers traded uneven from 4.00 lower to 4.00 higher. Feeder heifers traded steady to 2.00 higher. Demand was good on a moderate supply. Steers averaged 644 lbs at $137.14/cwt while heifers averaged 640 lbs at $126.17/cwt. "Nation Sick Calf Month" began with Fall nighttime temperatures and Summer daytime temperatures. Calves not weaned or short weaned were having a hard time finding a new home. Demand was best on heavier weight calves that were 60 plus days weaned with two or more rounds of shots.
