Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves traded 2.00-4.00 lower. Demand was moderate on a moderate supply. The futures boards were unable to maintain their early morning gains. This combined with tariff concerns kept cash buyers cautious; however there were spots throughout the day where high quality offerings were steady to firm. Steers averaged 550 lbs at 158.23/cwt while heifers averaged 525 lbs at 134.94/cwt.
