Compared to the last Special Replacement Cattle Auction in December, bred cows were 300.00-400.00 higher and pairs were 1000.00 higher. Demand was very good on a moderate supply. It was standing room only and the parking lot was full of empty trailers looking to take a load back home. There was a good mix of quality and quantity in the packages that came through the ring, making for a very active market. The top draft of bred cows was thirteen head of 2-4-year-old Red Angus cows in the 3rd stage which brought 3600.00/head. The top pairs were seven head of 2-4-year-old black Angus cows in the first stage with 350-400 lb. calves at their side that brought 3600.00/pair. The top bull was a 3-year-old 1875 lb. black Angus that brought 4800.00/head.
