Compared to the last special in December, Bred Cows traded 100.00-200.00 higher while Cow/Calf pairs traded 250.00 higher. Demand was very good on a moderate supply, which included several local herd sellouts. The top bred cows were a package of 13 head of 3-6 year old, black-hided cows, in the 2nd/3rd stage, that brought 1850.00. A package of 12 head of 3-6 year old, red-hided cows, in the 2nd/3rd stage and a package of 38 head of 2 year old, black-hided bred heifers, in the second stage also sold for 1850.00. The top pairs for the day were a 3-n-1 package of 16 head of 3-6 year old, black-hided, cows in the 1st/2nd stage, with 350 lb. calves which brought 2275.00. Another standout offering was a package of 13 two-year old heifers, with 100 lb. calves, which brought 1900.00/pair. Forty-three percent of the offering was bred cows and 14 percent was cow/calf pairs with the balance slaughter animals and calves.
