A large crowd was ringside Saturday evening as Ozarks Regional Stockyard held its Summer Replacement Cattle Auction. Demand was very good on the above average quality replacement animals in the offering. The supply was heavy with several large packages of young black-hided bred cows and pairs being sold, including 500 head from one farm with cows bred to reputation bulls. Top bred cows brought 1625.00 while top pairs brought 1825.00, each 250.00 per head higher than the top animals in the last special sale in February. Replacement cattle made up 75 percent of the offering while the remaining balance was slaughter animals and calves.
