A good crowd was ringside Saturday at the Ozarks Regional Stockyards for their Special Replacement Cattle Sale. Demand was very good on bred cows and heifer. The supply of bred cows and heifers was moderate while the supply of stocker cows and pairs was light. A higher demand for slaughter cows sent a higher percentage of the stocker cows to the packing plants than back to the farm. The offering included several nice drafts of high quality bred heifers with one draft topping the market at 1650.00. There was also a higher than normal supply of good replacement bulls with the top bull bringing 2900.00. Replacement animals made up 82 percent of the offering while the remaining balance was unreported slaughter animals and calves.
