The first sale of the New Year for the Ozarks Regional Stockyards was a special Pre-Vac Sale on Friday, January 3rd. Compared to the last special, a month ago, steer calves under 600 lbs traded 4.00-7.00 higher with heavier weights steady to 2.00 lower. Heifer calves under 550 lbs traded 8.00-16.00 higher with heavier weights 3.00-6.00 higher. Demand was very good especially on light weight heifer calves. The supply was moderate with more light weight offerings than the previous special. Quality was above average with most of the offering weaned for over 45 days with multiple rounds of shots and wormed.
