Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, slaughter cows were steady to 2.00 higher and slaughter bulls were 2.00-3.00 higher. Bred cows sold 100.00 higher while pairs were not well tested but sold with higher undertones. Demand was very good on a light supply. Additional rain fell across the area which improved pasture conditions and helped better quality bred cows and pairs find a new home. Replacement buyers seemed more willing to compete with slaughter buyers, even as slaughter cows topped out at 131.00/cwt.
