Reporter comment USDA

As filed

No recently tested market for a price comparison, undertone sharply lower. Pretty light offering highlighted by a large consignment of Char-cross heifers all originating from one ranch. Beyond that it was lots of singles and small packages of cattle. Volatility abounds in the cattle sector currently with futures eroding and fed cattle under pressure. Quality as a whole was above average with most in thinner condition after the recent heat wave. The crowd was lighter than the feeder run with most locals running hard in the hayfield. Supply light, demand moderate.
