As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steers and heifers traded sharply lower, mostly 12.00 to 18.00 lower. However some 525-625 heifers traded within 5.00 of the prices from the last sale. Slaughter cows unevenly steady. Very active market for most of the day. Buyers are still interested in acquiring inventory, just at significantly lower price levels given the recent market turbulance. "Volatile" may be the most often used word to describe the market these days but it doesn't seem to do it justice as it's hard to say from one day to the next what one is worth. Supply light, demand moderate to good.
