Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold mostly steady except the steer calves under 550 lbs trading steady to weak as some of the weight groups didn't quite reach the top end prices seen last week. Demand was moderate to good for a moderate supply with most of the calves coming to town straight off the cow. Thankfully, some much needed moisture has fallen across the area since last week. Another large run of slaughter cows and bulls sold 1.00-3.00 lower.
