Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to 7.00 higher with the advance mostly on those under 600 lbs. Demand was good and supply was light but several nice consignments of mostly high quality calves were offered along with a some long weaned yearlings. Slaughter cows sold firm to 3.00 higher. It's been another very wet season here in West Central Missouri which has made progress difficult around the farm. Very few beans have been planted and only a short window was allowed for corn. However, a fairly dry week ahead is forecast which will hopefully give an opportunity for progress on hay and beans.
