Compared to last week, steers and heifers traded 3.00-7.00 higher except for 400-500 lb heifer calves selling steady to last weeks higher market. The supply was heavy with several attractive consignments offered. Demand was good and trade was active as buyers have been eager to procure cattle to start the new year with positive industry fundamentals in place. Slaughter cows sold 4.00-8.00 lower than last weeks equally higher market.
