Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher on an active market to kick off the new year. Demand was good to very good, particularly for 350-500 lb grazing calves. Several reputation consignments of quality cattle made their way to town and supply was moderate with a good run expected again next week. Slaughter cows sold 4.00-8.00 higher.
