Compared to two weeks ago, steers and heifers sold mostly steady, spots 3.00 higher for steers. Demand was moderate to good for a heavy supply that included both calves and yearlings. Most cattle had been weaned with shots and several were in attractive condition. The sunny, dry weather allowed producers the opportunity to move cattle and they took advantage. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady.
