Compared to last week, steers sold steady to 5.00 lower and heifers traded 3.00-7.00 lower. Supply was moderate and demand was moderate to light. Cattle futures trended lower and corn higher again on Thursday. Also, fed cattle owners are just hoping to trade fat cattle at steady money this week, so not a whole lot of positives for calf buyers to get excited about. The first heat wave is arriving just in time for summer. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 lower and bulls 3.00-5.00 lower.
