Compared to last week feeder steers under 500 lbs. sold 25.00-30.00 higher. Weights over 500 lbs. sold 5.00-15.00 lower. Feeder heifers sold 5.00-12.00 lower. In the slaughter portion of the auction slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. Supply was moderate with very good demand. Steers that are weaned and vaccinated sold for over 200.00 per head more than bull calves not weaned and worked. Plus the preconditioned steers are in much higher demand.
