As filed

Compared to the last auction three weeks ago, steer calves weighing 400-450 lbs on a light test sold with a sharply higher undertone, steer calves weighing 450-700 lbs sold mostly 25.00-40.00 higher with over 700 lbs selling mostly firm to 10.00 higher. Heifer calves weighing 400-650 lbs sold mostly 10.00-20.00 higher with 650-750 lbs trading steady to firm on comparable weights. Demand was very good and a moderate to heavy offering with quality very good on the calves and yearlings and all sold on a very active market as buyers are aggressive to own cattle. Feeder cattle futures continue to lead the beef complex with the front four months having triple digit gains of 3.20 to 3.45 on Tuesday. Slaughter cows were not well tested with the previous auction but traded with a steady to firm undertone.
