Compared to the last auction three weeks ago, steer calves weighing 500-700 lbs on a light test sold mostly 20.00-30.00 higher with over 700 lbs trading with a higher undertone. Heifer calves weighing 500-600 lbs sold 5.00-10.00 higher and 5 pot loads (375 hd) of 682-702 lb heifers traded near steady off the same consignment as three weeks ago weighing near the same. Demand was good on a moderate supply of feeders. The main attraction was the large consignment of 375 hd of heifers with 300 hd averaging 686 lbs at 342.85 and 75 hd weighing 702 lbs also at 342.85. Several other stick out sales included 68 hd of steers weighing 731 lbs at 364.75 and 65 steers weighing 875 lbs at 319.50. Slaughter cows on a light offering sold with a higher undertone.
