Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves weighing 400-500 lbs sold with a higher undertone on last week's limited test, 500-550 lb steers sold fully steady to firm with 550-650 lbs trading firm to 8.00 higher and a near pot load of 902 lb steers sold with a higher undertone on no recent test. Heifer calves weighing 500-600 lbs sold steady to firm on comparable sales with the pot loads of 650-700 lbs selling with a higher undertone on limited supplies last week and three pot loads of 735-745 lb heifers off the same consignment as last week sold 2.00 higher. Demand was very good on a moderate supply with the stick out sales being the pot loads of yearlings which included 50 hd of 902 lb steers at 297.50, 135 hd of 684 lb heifers at 321.10, 82 hd heifers 662 lbs at 326.25 and 232 hd of 742 lb heifers at 315.75. Slaughter cows on a light test sold steady with spots 2.00 higher on the high dressing cows.
