Compared to last week, steer calves weighing 400-500 lbs sold mostly 10.00-20.00 higher, with 500-700 lb steers trading 10.00-15.00 higher, over 700 lbs sold with a higher undertone on limited comparisons. Heifer calves weighing 400-450 lb sold with a higher undertone, with 500-600 lb selling 5.00-10.00 higher, 6 weights sold with a firm undertone on a light test and pot loads of 700-715 lb heifers sold mostly 3.00-5.00 higher, over 750 lbs were not tested. Demand was very good on a good quality offering of calves and several pot loads of of top quality yearlings all selling on a very active market.as the market continues to see record prices with fed cattle market continuing to reach new highs. Stick out sales included pot load of steers weighing 879 lbs at 293.50, pot load of heifers weighing 712 lbs at 315.25, 155 hd heifers weighing 713 lbs at 314.25, 34 hd of heifers weighing 795 lbs at 295.50. Slaughter cows sold steady with several high yielding slaughter bulls trading from 215.00-225.00.
