Compared to last week, steer calves under 550 lbs sold steady following last weeks higher market and steers over 550 lbs traded 3.00-6.00 higher. Heifers sold steady to firm except for a load of 725 lb black heifers trading 8.00 higher. Demand was good for both the calves and yearlings on offer with several in attractive summer condition and overall the quality was very good. Supply was moderate to heavy with a break for the holiday next week. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower.
