Compared to last week, steers sold steady to firm and heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher with the advance on yearlings. Demand and quality were un-even, but demand was best for feedlot bound yearlings and moderate to light in spots for calves. The majority of the run was still yearling cattle that had come off the plentiful grass this year, but most in the area saw atleast a light frost last weekend that will slow pasture growth. Supply was moderate. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-4.00 lower, bulls steady.
