A cool August evening with low humidity brought out a moderate crowd for the JRS monthly replacement cattle sale. Most of the area received some rain this past week, however rains were too late for some who sold cattle this evening because they were short of grass due to an extended dry period in their particular locations. Several herd dispersal's were included in the offering providing some large packages of bred cows and cow/calf pairs. The overall quality of the offering was good. Eighty percent of the offering was replacement animals with the balance slaughter animals and calves pulled from cows sold for slaughter.
