There was a moderate size crowd on hand for the monthly replacement cow and bull sale at JRS, as many producers were in the hay fields taking advantage of the past due weather conditions to get the hay wrapped into a bale before it becomes more mature. Several dispersal's were included in the offering. Demand was good for the good quality black, black white-face and red bred cows on offer as well as the large offering of good quality cow/calf pairs. Eighty seven percent of the offering was replacement animals with the remaining balance slaughter animals and calves that were sold separately.
