Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Wednesday, fat breaking slaughter cows and slaughter bulls sold 3.00-5.00 higher while boning and lean slaughter cows sold 8.00-10.00 higher. The slaughter cows and bulls are in short supply and packer buyers were paying up to get what they could today. The offering included a a light to moderate supply of bred cows and cow calf/pairs. Most of the area received at least some moisture over the last several days improving the pasture and crop situation. Supply was moderate and demand very good for slaughter classes.
