Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers and heifers 10.00-15.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady. Demand good to very good. Supply light. The stronger fed cattle trade over the past two weeks has feeders following higher with the feeder index back to setting all-time highs so far this week. One highlight of the feeder offering was 39 head of grazing flesh steers weighing 601 lbs @ 358.50. A bullish placement figure is expected in Friday's Cattle on Feed report which will also push on feed numbers lower.
