Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers and heifers 2.00-6.00 lower except some heifers near 425 lbs steady. Slaughter cows 1.00-2.00 higher. Demand good. Supply moderate. Some nice consignments but less overall quality than last week. Feeder futures have lost a lot of ground to start the week partly or mostly due to the resumption of Mexican feeder cattle imports. Fed cattle set another record weighted average price (209.57/cwt) last week thanks to a much higher catch up trade in the south.
