Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Based on limited comparisons with last Tuesday, feeder steers and heifers steady to firm. Slaughter cows firm to 2.00 higher. Demand good. Supply light. The grass and moisture outlook is more favorable than in quite some time in this area with another big, widespread rain event Monday evening. Feeder offering was mostly small packages of fall calves weighing 550 lbs and down. Feeder futures recovered 2.00-3.00/cwt following another round of huge Monday losses
