Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, feeder steers 5.00-10.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 500 lbs 4.00-12.00 higher, over 500 lbs 2.00-4.00 higher. Slaughter cows 4.00-6.00 lower. Demand good to very good. Supply moderate. Feeder offering featured a load of true yearling black and char cross 806 lb steers along with several other good quality red and charolais cross steers weighing 650-800 lbs. Good week to move cattle with nice weather and surging feeder contracts ahead of the hot weather and potentially crunchy grass in the extended forecast.
