As filed

Compared to the last feeder special from 2 weeks ago, feeder steers and heifers steady. The drought in Northeast Missouri is quickly intensifying as the past few months have seen much above normal temperatures with little to no rain. Most beef producers are already feeding hay, and what seemed like an abundant feed supply in the middle of summer now have producers counting bales to see if they have enough to get to spring. The later planted soybeans were really hurt by the late summer drought as yields are well below expectations and some of those acres will qualify for a crop insurance payment.
