Compared to the auction from two weeks ago, steer calves under 500 lbs traded 4.00-6.00 higher, with feeder steers over 500 lbs steady to 5.00 higher. Feeder heifers 2.00-5.00 higher. A nice early fall run of cattle for this part of the state as farmers are usually preoccupied with the grain harvest. Calf prices continue to climb from the lows of about six weeks ago as future prices are moving up and most farmers have a good feed supply stored up. Demand good and supply moderate.
