Compared to last week, steers calves weighing 400-600 lbs sold near steady on a light test, with 600-700 lbs trading steady to 5.00 higher, 700-750 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher and weights over 750 lbs were not well tested. Feeder heifer sold steady to firm, with 700-750 lbs selling 3.00-6.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher with the most advance on the boning and lean cows. Demand was moderate to good on a moderate to heavy offering of feeder cattle. This week's overall quality of steers and heifers weighing 600-750 lbs were better than last week's selling in bigger consignments and bunches. CME cattle futures had a very good day to end the week as Feeder Cattle contracts had triple digit gains.
