Heifer calves weighing 400-500 lbs sold firm to 10.00 higher, 500-600 lbs sold steady to firm and over 600 lbs were scarce. Demand was very good on the steer calves and yearling steers weighing from 400-700 lbs. Friday's late fed cattle market had reports of pushing to 258.00-260.00. Monday's Feeder Cattle futures closed 3.82 to 4.35 higher on the front four months. Several stick out sales included 45 hd of 495 lb steers at 590.00, with 16 hd weighing 453 lbs at 608.00; pot load 77 hd steers weighing 672 lbs at 450.00, with a part load weighing 663 lbs at 454.00. Slaughter cows sold on a good offering sold firm to 5.00 higher.
