Compared to last week, steer calves weighing 400-700 lbs sold steady to firm, with 700 weight steers trading with a higher undertone compared to last week's limited test, pot load of 893 lb steers sold steady with a pot load weighing 921 lbs selling with a higher undertone. Lightweight heifer calves weighing 300-450 lbs sold 10.00-20.00 higher, with 450-600 lbs selling firm to 10.00 higher, 600-650 lbs traded with a firm undertone and over 650 lbs were lightly tested. Demand was very good on a heavy offering with overall quality very good on the calves and yearlings. The market continues to see fed cattle prices reach new highs each week which in turn has feeder cattle market following in its footsteps. Several stick out sales included 84 hd 634 lb steers at 373.00, 130 hd steers 764 lbs at 318.00, 63 steers 921 lbs at 285.00 and 61 heifers weighing 570 lbs at 351.50. Slaughter cows sold firm to 5.00 higher.
